Press reviews

“Brilliant, riveting…as hard as “The Longest Night” is to endure, it is even harder to forget. A small masterpiece.” [Full Review]

Karsten Kastelan. NWZ ONLINE

“Somewhere between true crime and documentary drama, Colman has created a masterpiece that is like a deft punch in the gut.” [Full Review]

The Longest Night. OLDEMBURG FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAM

“An uncomfortable film in the hands of a filmmaker who takes risks… The longest night is one of those films that either outrage or convince. It is worth repeating: filming the lives of the infamous is not just any task. Colman is a filmmaker who has chosen the most uncomfortable path, not an usual one, among his peers. And that’s something to keep in mind when we think through the possible objections to his second film. Both for him and for most of the audience, Sajen is a monster. And it’s not easy to film monsters.” [Full Review in Spanish]

Roger Koza. CON LOS OJOS ABIERTOS

“A violent but remarkable plea” [Full Review in Spanish]

AMBITO FINANCIERO

“It is a film that has no half measures. It goes to the bone” [Full Review in Spanish]

Guadalupe Zanar. CBA24N

“Filmmaker Moroco Colman places on the agenda the careless monitoring of cases of serial sexual abusers by the police, the state and the justice system… Colman leaves viewers restless with a visually eclectic, terrifying and dramatic film.” [Full Review in Spanish]

Florencia Fico. CINE ARGENTINO HOY

“Daniel Aráoz shines as a rapist in the film with which Argentine cinema returns to theaters” [Full Review in Spanish]

EL CIUDADANO WEB

“A dark chapter in our history that, reaching the end, is associated with the current struggles of feminism in Argentina.” [Full Review in Spanish]

EL DOCE TV

“Colman’s relentless light illuminates the silences of society, the lack of rigor in investigating sex crimes, the shame, the tabloids, and the complicity. And it also illuminates his monster, Araoz’s character.” [Full Review in Spanish]

Pedro Garay. EL DÍA

“Technically flawless” [Full Review in Spanish]

HACIENDO CINE

“The extraordinary work of Daniel Araoz in unarguable. Pure perverse animality made of gasps and sweats. Here embodies one of the most fearsome characters in Argentine cinema in a long time.” [Full Review in Spanish]
